ON HER FIRST DIP INTO ENTREPRENEURSHIP
After deciding that interior design wasn’t the career choice for her, Marlena got her first taste of entrepreneurship by helping nonprofits and local businesses with their branding.
ON HER SHIFT OUT OF THE ADVERTISING INDUSTRY
After taking a job in advertising, Marlena realized that there was no way that she would be able to build her business while working in such a demanding industry. So she left to pursue another career that would give her the time she needed to grow her own brand. During this transition she came up with several idea for different startups but admits that God was pulling her in a different direction.
ON BLENDING YOUR FAITH INTO YOUR BUSINESS
Marlena’s advice, “if God ministers something to you, chances are it will minister to someone else.” Share those little nuggets because testimonies are one of the most powerful tools of sharing our faith because people can relate to something that actually happened in your life.
